But there’s an addictive quality to the way saxophonist Jon Irabagon begins every track like he’s blowing in a Springsteen cover band, then runs the song’s melody off the rails, devolving into evermore abstract screeches and skronks.

Moppa Elliott was born and raised in Factoryville, PA and attended Oberlin College and Conservatory. In 2001 he founded Hot Cup records before moving to NYC where he currently lives with his partner, Diana, his son, Ben, and his dog, Joni.
